Obituary

A small report on each of the animals that have died while living through the meat industry. The process is a horrible one and they will forever affect the consumers system.

Clarabelle the Cow
February 25, 2015 - November 17, 2016

Clarabelle the Cow had a very important impact on all of our lives. She was always very good at making new friends and had lived with many other cows throughout her lifetime. She began to gain weight rapidly and we knew she did not have that many more weeks to live.  Clarabelle has now joined her many other farm mates after being murdered the week before Thanksgiving. We will be commemorating Clarabelle’s short-lived life on November 24, 2016, Thanksgiving Day, by gathering with our families. Clarabelle the Cow was just another dollar sign to the murders, but to us she was more than that, Clarabelle was the best steak we have all had in awhile. (Honey-baked ham and turkey will be catered for the reception afterwards.)

Footless the Chicken was and always will be a special one. He was kidnapped from his mother and held hostage for his whole lifetime. Footless enjoyed the majority of his days by eating grains while sitting in his small penthouse. He was born with only one foot, so he often was made fun of and tried to keep to himself. Footless was born, raised, and killed in Springdale, Arkansas, the location of Tyson Foods. Tyson is resposible for allowing Footless the Chicken to become the chicken he grew up to be. Footless had lived to be 7 weeks old, a long-lived life for a broiler chicken.
