FINAL REFLECTION
The Wix project was relatively easy to create, rather it is more tedious of how much time it takes to actually create the content. The project required for time to be set aside and devoted towards learning the interface of the website. Once I was able to understand how Wix worked, it was uphill from there. Wix is not complicated to begin with, but does take some time to get used to. The steps to create the website are all straightforward, the toolbar on the side of the screen is very helpful for the creator. The format of my website is very clean, making it easier for the viewer to navigate. Each of the projects from the entire class time has its own tab, followed by the assignments which are related. The images contained within the papers help the reader stay interested as well as further explain what is happening within the text. The links to outside sources are easily accessible and direct the viewer to a separate page so they do not leave the website entirely. Creating the website is beneficial to display what I have learned in my class for my final, but also for my family to see as well.
Creating the three genres was also relatively easy; setting aside time to learn the maneuvers was the hardest part for this. Picking each of the genres and what I wanted to do for each was semi-complicated. I had known I wanted to create obituaries for the animals, since that really represented what my research paper was focused on. The Twitter page and Plotagon were a bit more complicated in reference to how I wanted them to be formatted. My professor had given me a general idea about what to include within the tweets. From the given idea, I was able to elaborate and add what I thought was necessary to create the effect that I intended in my head. Some sarcasm and irony were included in order to add some light to the dark topic of the meat industry. The Plotagon was not my initial genre, but as people were talking about it in class it seemed like it would be able to match up with my research paper. The Plotagon was very simple and straightforward to make. Each genre individually portrays the effect that I had intended. I did not encounter any problem while developing any of my genres.
